Welcome to the 3rd edition of the open openLCA LCA Conference!

Since its creation in 2007, openLCA has grown to become the most widely used LCA software both in its own right, and also as part of an interconnected family of LCA tools. Thanks to its low acquisition barrier and available resources, people all across the world are able to use openLCA for studies, projects and research.

In 2025, we hosted the second edition of openLCA.conf after a sold out debut the year before, bringing together experts from across the field for two days of lectures, workshops and discussions on LCA research and practice.

For the 3rd edition of the conference, the most successful sessions from the past two years will be making a return, with presentations covering case studies, software tools, data for sustainability and more. We will also be introducing “interactive sessions” for the first time, with a focus on conversation and exchange.

Training courses will be available onsite on the 21st, covering a wide range of topics, from basic to advanced LCA, social LCA and using python in openLCA.

Venue
